As some of you may know, my laptop broke recently and the repairs are really expensive to the point that I’m better off buying a new one instead. With that said, I’m opening emergency commissions in order to save up for a new one.
I get the question often as to what size canvas I draw on. I’ve answered in responses to explain the basics numerous times, but I’m going to write a bit more detailed response so all can understand and reference.
(I’ll use my Dirty Pair piece as the guinea pig for this explanation.)
I generally draw very small digitally due to better line control (I am super nitpicky with my line quality) and this is great! Just tested it out with an old psd and it works wonderfully.
okay I think this covers the basics of the way I do my lineart, hopefully it’ll be helpful enough! if something’s unclear don’t be afraid to shoot me an ask about it.
enjoy and dON’T GIVE UP it might get really frustrating at times with all the control z-ing and re-drawing lines but the more you do it, the quicker it’ll get to get them right the first time around and the better you’ll become at it so yes, good luck friends.
